Meet Our Staff

At Loving and Learning Child Care Center we pride ourselves on our exceptionally caring and knowledgeable staff. Our devotion to creating a fun, safe, caring educational atmosphere for the children is our top priority.

Amber Daugherty, Director / Business Manager

I have been working at Loving and Learning since 2006. I choose this field because I have a strong interest in caring and teaching young children. I began here as a 3K teacher and two years at the front desk, helping the Director and Assistant Director. Not long after, I was promoted to Assistant Director. I really enjoyed working as the Assistant Director. Several years later I was promoted to Director.

I am currently studying at Trident Technical College. I have a beautiful daughter and son who has attended Loving and Learning since infancy.

I enjoy being the Director as it gives me a chance to work with not just one group of children, but all of the children, as well as their parents and teachers. It is a job I find very fulfilling.

Candice Anderson, Assistant Director

I first began working the childcare field in 2006 a few months after enrolling my oldest son in a local childcare facility. I choose this field to be close to my child, but I grew an immense love for teaching and caring for children.

I joined the Loving and Learning team in 2011 after moving from Ohio. I have worked as a lead 3K teacher as well as helping out with the after schoolers. In October 2022, I was offered the Assistant Director position, which I gladly accepted.

In 2016, I received my Associate’s Degree in Human Services. I am the proud mother of two wonderful boys, one who started at Loving and Learning at eight and the other as a toddler. Both of my boys attended until their 6^th grade year.

I love working with my team at Loving and Learning, as well as shaping the minds of young children.
